The Sexually-Frustrated Man

 

As an astrologer, I deal with some cases where clients suffer from an unsatisfactory sex life. They blame their unfulfilled fantasies on their spouses, who are either unresponsive in bed or unable to keep up with their libido. Some men, for example, simply do not find their wives attractive. This is no coincident as the problem often lies with the individual himself and this can be seen from their natal charts. Upon birth, our sexual tastebuds are imprinted on our natal chart, and this rarely changes. By studying this “blueprint”, the source of the client’s sexual problems is revealed, which is why an astrology reading is always private and confidential.  

 

How do we identify promiscuity in a natal chart? By looking at the negative aspects afflicting the sexual planets (Venus, Mars & Moon). Below is the classic chart of a sexually-frustrated man. Married for over 10 years, he no longer finds his wife attractive and had numerous affairs with younger women. In fact, he admitted to losing interest in his wife very quickly into his marriage. He keeps lusting after wild and loose women whom he cannot respect in real life and will never consider marrying. Upon examining his chart, I noticed some big issues:

 

• The Madonna-Whore Complex

His Moon (wife) squares his Venus (lover), indicating that he is unable to desire the woman that he loves, but can never love the object he desires. He loves his wife dearly, but he cannot imagine jumping on her in the shower while he can do all sorts of nasty things to slutty woman whom he neither love nor respect. When the Moon and Venus is in conflict, love and lust become 2 separate categories that are working at cross-purpose. Subconsciously, he has categorized 2 types of women in his mind, the Madonna (pure, pristine wife) and the Whore (wild, loose woman). As a result, what he needs to feel secure (Moon) is in perpetual conflict with what he wants (Venus).

 

• Illicit Fantasies

Neptune, the planet of lies and illusion, sits in his 7th House of Marriage, which means this man often suffers from great disappointments in his love relationships. To make matters worse, his Venus is directly opposite Neptune, bringing lies and deception into love. His marriage probably feels like a lie at times, and the illusion he had of his wife shatters after getting to know her more. He also deceives her often, and hides his affairs from her knowledge.

Neptune-afflicted people often masturbates frequently and excessively, because they can never have sex that is as good as their imagination. Sex often lets them down in real life, and so they indulge in illicit fantasies which are often forbidden and unattainable in reality. They also falls quickly in love, and are easily seduced by others. Their lack of discrimination in their choice of partners means they can be easily led astray by people with questionable moral character. He has the tendency to project his erotic fantasies on women he met, imagining all sorts of naughty things which are in fact, a far cry from the truth. These are fantasies that cannot be satisfied, because Neptune is only a dream, and as a result, he hops from one lover to another, seeking to satiate his yearning for the “ultimate dream lover”.

 

• Fatal Attraction

Pluto, the planet of obsession, sits in his 5th House of Romance. He gets obsessed fast with the girlfriend he is involved with currently, and will never let go. Love, for him, is not a game. He loses himself completely in the arms of a lover, and thinks of her day and night. She literally drives him crazy. Pluto is known as the original “fatal attraction” planet, since he won’t ever want to let go. Death, it seems, is preferable to losing a lover. His obsessive love has a certain manipulative quality over it, and he may often play power games with his girlfriends to establish dominance in a relationship.

 

• Divorce Threats

Uranus, the planet of divorce, looms beside his Moon (wife / mother). Uranus often indicates separation, and an individual born with Uranus beside his Moon cannot live under the same roof with a woman for a very long time. They become restless, and needs their own space. They keep a distance from their wives, subconsciously, because they want freedom to do their own things. These are men who are comfortable being busy and “away” from their families often. They are fiercely independent creatures. They like the idea of long-distance relationship, where they can maintain a “safe” distance from their partners and preserve their individuality. If they stay under the roof with a woman too long, arguments will erupt, or some issues will be created so they may find “excuse” to leave or be away. They find intimacy threatening, and although they yearn for emotional intimacy, it is almost impossible to be close with the Uranus man. ForeverAlone Guy is foreveralone.
